Job summary

Raytheon Huntsville, AL, is seeking a Senior System Engineer to support radar performance analysis for missile defense flight tests. You will plan, execute analyses, and build verification strategies across live missions.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, evaluate sensor behavior, and prepare findings for internal and external stakeholders. A STEM degree, 5+ years of experience, and proficiency with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and Linux are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, C/C++ and Linux/Red.
• Experience in systems engineering, verification and testing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute radar performance analysis activities supporting live missile defense flight tests, ensuring sensor readiness and alignment with mission objectives.
• Analyze radar measurement data collected during flight test events to characterize detection, tracking, discrimination, and sensor performance.
• Evaluate time‑sensitive radar outputs, track timelines, track quality, measurement accuracy, and resource usage.
• Perform pre‑mission analysis using engineering tools and flight‑test simulation to predict radar behavior and assess risks.
• Produce technical artifacts including performance reports, briefings, and data packages for leadership and mission partners.
• Support readiness reviews and mission execution by presenting expectations, risk assessments, and post-test analysis plans.
• Maintain configuration control of analysis procedures, data pipelines, scripts, and verification artifacts.
