Job summary

Raytheon in Huntsville, Alabama, is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to design, implement, and execute tests for the Patriot software team. You will collaborate with software developers, system architects, and product leads to ensure solutions meet customer requirements in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

The role requires a STEM degree, 5+ years in software testing, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in STEM and at least 5 years of experience.
3 years in Software Engineering and 3 years in Validation, Verification, Requirements Analysis and/or Testing.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Review software requirements for clarity and testability.
Write test objectives guiding testing process and coverage.
Design test cases, manual and automated.
Execute test cases in on-site lab environment.
Analyze test results and document discrepancies.
Collaborate with test engineers and developers for integration.
Accept onsite presence and interaction with Systems Design engineering and Software Development Team.
Light travel may be required.
