G2IT, LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the JCSE Modernization Division at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. The candidate will help modernize DoD infrastructure, systems, and applications with emphasis on systems engineering, cybersecurity, and cloud environments.

The role requires independent management of complex tasks, collaboration with government stakeholders, and mentorship for junior engineers. On-site, full-time position with potential on-call commitments.

Formación

• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
• Active DoD IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, GICSP, CND, or SSCP.
• CE certification or certificate relevant to network infrastructure, cybersecurity, or operating systems (e.g., Cisco, Splunk, Microsoft, or Linux).
• Experience installing, configuring, administering, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments, including Windows Server 2012/2016.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting Linux systems.
• Experience working in enterprise production environments.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, and authentication protocols.
• Understanding of enterprise storage technologies, including SAN and NAS.
• Strong troubleshooting, systems integration, and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-focused environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability for recurring on-call support and occasional after-hours or weekend work.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify COTS and GOTS solutions supporting JCSE modernization.
• Conduct Analyses of Alternatives (AoA), evaluating security, operational suitability, and SWaP requirements.
• Develop and present technical design COAs and recommendations to government stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and maintain physical infrastructure and logical software architecture diagrams.
• Create and maintain ICDs, system design documentation, and configuration management records.
• Coordinate with JCSE leadership to ensure engineering solutions meet operational and mission requirements.
• Implement and validate cybersecurity controls in accordance with NIST standards, DoDI 8500.01, DoDI 8510.01, and applicable DoD guidance.
• Support integration and configuration of NetSecOps platforms and enterprise security tools.
• Provide cybersecurity and systems engineering support for testing and integrating new capabilities within laboratory and production environments.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and system issues while ensuring operational continuity.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineering personnel.
