Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – SEIT to design, integrate, and test AFATDS/IFATDS capabilities onsite in Fort Wayne, IN. travel up to 60% may be required to CONUS/OCONUS locations. Must have DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain) and U.S. citizenship.

The role involves leading site surveys, providing SME guidance to PMs, developing program plans, and producing clear technical documentation for end users and management.

Qualifications

• Experience with military command and control applications such as AFATDS, Cannon Fire Control Systems, and/or Rocket/MLRS Fire Control Systems.
• Experience with Tactical Operations Center activities and familiarity with military networking operations in Artillery units at Battery and higher echelons.
• Typically requires 10+ years of experience in Artillery, Fire Support operations.
• Degree in STEM and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree with minimum 3 years experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare and deliver capabilities briefings of AFATDS/IFATDS products for management, customers or end users at varying levels.
• Lead site surveys, report results and recommendations to management and end-users.
• Participate in program review meetings with customers and end-users.
• Provide SME advice to Program Managers during pre-contract and execution phases.
• Contribute to development of new program plans and SOW content.
• Perform system integration, verification and validation of IFATDS components.
• Write and edit technical documents communicating specifications to customers.
