Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Software Engineer II for Platform & Infrastructure Services within the Air C2 and Battlefield Sensors software group. You will support multiple programs, deploy and automate COTS/FOSS integrations, and help harden systems while collaborating within a high-performing team.

Responsibilities include deployment automation, performance tuning, and limited mentoring. US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) AND a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with system deployment, automation/scripting and administration supporting mission critical systems on Windows or Linux.
• Experience with the integration of COTS/FOSS products for enterprise software deployments such as Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, PowerShell, and related tools.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the IS team that adopts DevOps processes and other best industry practices; integrate COTS platform products with Command and Control systems.
• Support multiple programs and platforms within the C2 software product line.
• Install, configure, integrate, and test COTS/FOSS; automate builds and deployments; tune performance and harden security.
• Provide limited mentoring and oversight within an Integrated Product Team.
• Travel may be required to sites in the U.S. and abroad; work onsite in Fullerton, CA.
