Job summary

NISC designs and maintains enterprise-level infrastructure across UNIX/Linux and Windows environments, focusing on cybersecurity, network, and system software components. You will guide configuration, support, and security architecture while collaborating with vendors and client teams.

The role requires hands-on expertise with cloud platforms, virtualization, automation, and scripting, with up to 25% travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, network engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience administering and optimizing application stacks, including IIS, Tomcat, Apache, and NGINX.
• Strong networking experience, including configuring switches and SPAN/mirror ports to provide visibility to NDR platforms and SIEM tools.
• Experience deploying vulnerability-scanning platforms such as OpenVAS, Nessus, and Qualys.
• Experience deploying, administering, configuring, and updating endpoint agents across enterprise environments (EDR/RMM).
• Experience configuring firewalls, VLANs, VPN/SSL, and Active Directory integrations.
• Experience configuring centralized MFA solutions such as Duo, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).
• Advanced scripting with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business challenges and lead the evaluation and recommendation of technology products and platforms.
• Research and design best-fit infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity architectures.
• Lead infrastructure configuration, troubleshooting, and support while ensuring change-control standards.
• Support root-cause investigations of cybersecurity incidents and recommend fixes.
• Identify and prioritize improvements to support processes, procedures, and documentation.
• Respond to inquiries by troubleshooting hardware, software, system, and network issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and security requirements.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Contribute innovative ideas and technical solutions.
• Represent the company at conferences and industry events.
