Job summary

NISC is seeking an experienced cybersecurity/infrastructure professional to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade systems across UNIX/Linux and Windows environments. The role focuses on security architectures, cloud and on‑prem infrastructure, and proactive threat monitoring, with opportunities to travel to customer sites for deployments and remediation.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, network engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience administering and optimizing application stacks, including IIS, Tomcat, Apache, and NGINX.
• Strong networking experience, including configuring switches and SPAN/mirror ports for NDR platforms.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business challenges and lead evaluation of technology products and platforms.
• Research and design best-fit infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity architectures.
• Lead infrastructure configuration, troubleshooting, and support while ensuring quality and change-control standards.
• Support root-cause investigations of cybersecurity incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Identify and prioritize improvements to support processes, procedures, and documentation.
• Respond to end-user and internal inquiries by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security requirements.
• Collaborate with external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Demonstrate initiative by contributing innovative ideas and technical solutions.
• Represent the company at conferences and industry events.
• Leverage generative AI tools to enhance productivity within the role.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
