Job summary

Leidos in the Navy Key Management program seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer to perform systems engineering across architecture, development, integration, verification, and documentation efforts.

You will collaborate daily with internal engineers and customer POCs to deliver rigorous technical solutions. The role emphasizes MBSE, agile processes, and detailed documentation, with work at customer facilities up to five days per week and some telework options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience with 8+ years in systems engineering.
• US citizenship and active Secret DoD security clearance required within 90 days post hire.
• Experience analyzing risks and navigating projects through processes.
• Model-based systems engineering experience.
• Experience with database management software (MySQL, Oracle RDBMS, MSSQL).
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems.
• Understanding of complex system development methods.
• Experience with technical documentation development.
• Knowledge of software design patterns.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• DoD 8570 Security+ certification (or equivalent) expected within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead system engineering, hardware, and software analysis for the Navy Key Management portfolio.
• Define and apply systems engineering processes to meet customer requirements.
• Manage requirements decomposition, allocation, and verification.
• Develop System Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development.
• Lead customer meetings and technical interchange discussions.
• Author varied technical documents and briefing materials.
