Job summary

Taco, Inc. in Rhode Island is seeking a Sr Systems Engineer, Commercial Training to provide technical, engineering, and training support for commercial applications.

They train primarily mechanical engineers, Taco manufacturer representatives, Taco sales personnel and mechanical contractors on commercial system design and hydronics fundamentals. The Sr Systems Engineer will develop curricula, deliver training, and provide high-level field support and mentoring to the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years in HVAC/mechanical design.
• 5+ years delivering technical presentations to groups.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced PowerPoint.
• Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, public presentation and teaching skills.
• Travel: 50% of time to customer sites, trade shows, NA locations.

Responsibilities

• Provides training on commercial mechanical systems and products including pumps, heat exchangers, and drives.
• Develops engineering curriculum for classroom training and E-Learning courses.
• Provides mechanical systems engineering and design assistance for building systems (HVAC, plumbing, control, energy analysis).
• Meets with customers and explains mechanical systems and Taco components.
• Guides customers through decision-making for choosing mechanical systems for buildings.
• Provides high-level field technical support and diagnostics for Taco products.
• Serves as a coach and mentor to other team members.
