Job summary

Taco, Inc. is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to design, develop and verify new and existing products and platforms. You will build models and prototypes, analyze test results and prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations.

The role involves collaborating with manufacturing, quality, production and purchasing to ensure designs meet goals, and mentoring other engineers. 1st shift, hybrid work model in Cranston, RI with Regular Full-Time status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years of related engineering experience.
• Experience leading design teams and managing projects is highly desirable.
• Proficient in CAD/CAE/FEA tools (SolidWorks preferred) and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development and validation of new and existing products.
• Construct and test models and prototypes, analyze test results, and provide detailed reports.
• Write and maintain product specifications and design documentation.
• Mentor and coach other engineers; oversee their work for quality and adherence to standards.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and production teams to ensure manufacturability.
