Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts for the SAOC program. You will drive requirements development, system architecture, integration, and V&V within our SIL, ensuring coherent baselines and traceability across vendors and internal teams.

You will mentor engineers, plan cross-IPT activities, translate program objectives into executable plans, and support risk management while collaborating with cross-functional groups

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 14+ years of experience in systems engineering.
• Extensive leadership experience in systems engineering.
• Experience with requirements management and V&V principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary systems engineering across IPTs and organizational boundaries.
• Plan design and requirements development from early PDR through CDR and subsequent test and verification activities.
• Coordinate cross-IPT requirements integration ensuring traceability and completeness.
• Drive systems engineering planning and execution across internal engineering teams, external orgs, and subcontractors.
• Experience developing and maintaining systems architectures and technical baselines.
• Experience developing SOWs and technical requirements for subcontractors.
• Create CDRLs and development of technical data deliverables.
• Translate program objectives into executable technical plans and engineering activities.
• Facilitate technical reviews, working groups, and other formal engineering reviews.
• Transform system designs and requirements into an operational lab environment.
• Lead technical integration in SIL and resolve system-level issues.
