Job summary

MantaBio, Inc. is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer in Beverly, MA to integrate mechanical, electrical, fluidic, optical, and consumable components into a cohesive platform.

You will drive the development from prototype to commercial readiness with a hands-on, autonomous startup mindset. The role requires deep technical fluency, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the ability to work across software, biology, chemistry, and electronics teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware-focused systems engineering experience.
• MS in Engineering preferred.
• CAD experience, SolidWorks strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and build electromechanical subsystems including fluid handling, thermal cycling, and optical detection.
• Develop breadboards and alpha prototypes to mitigate technical risk prior to commercial development.
• Integrate pumps, valves, manifolds, heaters, sensors, and optics into reliable systems.
