Job summary

GenScript USA Inc/ProBio Inc. in Piscataway, NJ, seeks an Automation Engineer to develop new automation workflows for high-throughput biomanufacturing, maintain and upgrade existing methods, and provide hands-on support for lab instruments.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical or biomedical engineering, 1+ year automation experience in biomanufacturing, and experience with Tecan Fluent, Hamilton STAR, and related software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field.
• 1+ year automation development experience in biomanufacturing.
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation and automation systems.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Experience troubleshooting liquid handling instruments such as Tecan Fluent and Hamilton STAR.
• Experience scripting for automation software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop new automation workflows to meet high throughput biomanufacturing needs.
• Maintain and upgrade existing automation methods.
• Provide hands-on support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for lab instruments and systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, software, and system integration issues.
• Manage project timelines and coordinate with internal resources.
• Communicate with other teams to ensure smooth tech transfer.
