BUILT Biotechnologies, Inc. is hiring a software engineer who will own and expand our day‑to‑day business systems used across quoting, inventory, manufacturing execution, and workflows.

You will work across application code, cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and integrations, ensuring reliability and shaping the platform for manufacturing teams. This role sits with the Chief Architect as a key early engineer.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or closely related field.
• 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with good relational modeling.
• Experience deploying and operating cloud services in production.
• Comfortable with TDD or eager to work that way.
• Ability to read unfamiliar codebases and diagnose production issues.
• Ability to communicate with non-software stakeholders and translate needs.
• Experience or interest in biotech, molecular biology, or laboratory science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep Python services in production running reliably.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues blocking business processes.
• Ship small and medium features across the stack.
• Improve monitoring, deployment, and reliability.
• Build and maintain integrations between internal systems and third‑party tools.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to translate needs into software.
• Migrate business processes from spreadsheets to structured systems.
• Improve data pipelines and automation.
• Document systems and procedures for future maintenance.
