Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide support to the AFLCMC AWACS division, based at Tinker AFB, OK. The role requires deep systems engineering expertise for E-3/E-7 platforms and close collaboration with government personnel and major defense contractors.

The candidate will lead requirements, cybersecurity alignment, modeling/simulation activities, and technical documentation to support modernization efforts and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience in the respective discipline, five of which in DoD.
• Or 15 years of directly related experience, eight of which must be in DoD.
• Must have and maintain an active Secret clearance.
• Must be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive program portfolio reviews to evaluate and recommend alternative plans and design system tests.
• Review and evaluate plans, designs, and test results to verify system performance per specifications.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective actions.
• Provide engineering support across acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, deployment, and operations.
