Job summary
SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a seasoned software-focused Systems Engineer to lead software systems engineering for aviation programs. The role requires on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, and a current active security clearance.
This is a future-funded position not expected to start before September 1, 2026. The successful candidate will develop software requirements, coordinate with vendors, and participate in SE technical reviews, Agile and SAFe workflows, and ECP processes.
Qualifications
- At least ten years experience performing software and systems engineering activities.
- Experience with DOD-STD-2167A, MIL-STD-498 or IEEE 12207 standards.
- BS in a technical discipline from an ABET accredited program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs/SSRs/PDRs/CDRs/TRRs).
- Support ECP process and prepare Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
