Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a mid-level to senior software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering across acquisition, development and sustainment of aviation programs.

This on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD and requires an active security clearance. The ideal candidate has at least ten years of software and systems engineering experience, familiarity with avionic systems, and hands-on collaboration with vendors and cybersecurity SMEs.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of software and systems engineering experience.
• Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and/or software.
• BS in a technical discipline from an ABET accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs.
• Develop IGCEs and support contractor evaluations.
