Job summary

i3 is seeking a Systems Engineer for the Tactical Software and Autonomy Solutions team to embed with a software development group and assist with requirements and artifacts development. The role involves extensive testing of software and systems in development on a new project using modern tools.

The candidate will support cloud-based infrastructure, perform demonstrations for customers, and generate test artifacts while collaborating across the software lifecycle. DoD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree (or advanced) in CS, engineering, mathematics or hard sciences with 5+ years experience.
• Team player who is creative, adaptive and eager to learn.
• Experience writing technical requirements.
• Experience writing and executing test plans.
• Familiar with Agile Scrum and related tools.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Position location: Huntsville, AL.
• CONUS travel requested – less than 20%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standardized, testable requirements from input.
• Test and document software applications and interfaces.
• Work within cloud-based infrastructure and tooling.
• Demonstrate and interface with customers to verify goals.
• Attend test events and generate test artifacts.
• Support software development teams throughout the SDLC.
• Other duties as assigned.
