Job summary

i3 is hiring a Software Engineer to help develop command and control and autonomy software for uncrewed platforms. You will work on a web-based UI for autonomously tasking UxS platforms.

The role requires 0-3 years of professional experience, U.S. citizenship, and a BS or higher in CS/engineering/math. Location is in-office Huntsville, with CONUS travel likely. Expect collaboration in an Agile, DoD-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor of Science or higher in CS/engineering/math or hard sciences (ABET preferred).
• 0-3 years of professional experience required.
• Team player, creative, adaptive, eager to learn.
• Ability to develop software designs using OOP and best practices.
• Ability to develop automated unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with configuration management practices.

Responsibilities

• Work with an Agile software team delivering value to a DoD customer in small, incremental iterations.
• Follow defined software safety practices to develop flight critical software, including architecture reviews, documentation, and testing.
• Develop software designs using object-oriented methodologies.
• Develop automated unit and integration level tests.
• Maintain code with proper configuration management and merging practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
