Job summary

Oracle's OCI division seeks a Senior Member of Technical Staff to help build Lightweight Infrastructure (LWI), the next-generation runtime and platform layer for compute, storage, networking, and governance. You will design and implement scalable distributed systems with a focus on reliability and operability.

In this role, you’ll contribute to a greenfield Autonomous OCI program, participate in architecture reviews, write robust tests, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-impact cloud

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3–5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one systems/backend language (Java/Go/Rust/C/C++/Python).
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, OS, networking, concurrency.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, Linux, containers, or security.
• Ability to design, build, test, and debug large codebases.
• Strong communication and collaboration with an ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize components in distributed systems for scalability and resiliency.
• Develop automation and IaC for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Write tests, runbooks, and participate in incident response and RCAs.
• Review peer implementations for scalability and compliance.
• Ensure security controls, encryption, and access management.
