Job summary

Oracle's Autonomous OCI initiative seeks a Principal Member of Technical Staff to shape Lightweight Infrastructure, the runtime and platform layer for compute, storage, networking, identity, observability, and governance.

You will lead design and delivery of complex services, architect scalable distributed systems, define KPIs, build telemetry, and mentor peers to raise the technical bar while ensuring security and reliability in a fast‑moving cloud environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6–10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Go, Rust, C/C++, or similar.
• Deep experience in core infrastructure areas: distributed systems, cloud control planes, scheduling, virtualization, storage, networking, security, reliability, or platform automation.
• Ability to lead design and delivery of complex services that are correct, resilient, observeable, and operable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex services with correctness and resilience.
• Architect scalable, elastic distributed systems and optimize data paths for high throughput.
• Establish KPIs, telemetry, dashboards, and alerts for operational readiness.
• Mentor peers, drive reviews, and raise the technical bar across teams.
