Job summary

The Scoular Company is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to lead AI-enabled operations, validate AI outputs, and advance security, observability, and automation across production and non-production environments. You will mentor team members, design runbooks, and collaborate with internal customers to improve reliability while balancing risk and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4-year education in CS or MIS or related field.
• 4–7 years of progressive IT or related experience.
• Experience with AI assistants and automation.
• Ability to validate AI-generated commands before production.
• Understanding of non-production data risk controls.
• Willingness to coach others on safe AI use.
• Excellent PC skills, especially Microsoft Office.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Strong documentation and artifact presentation.
• Able to work independently or in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and reliable operation of computer systems and network components with AI acceleration.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software using diagnostics; validate AI outputs before action.
• Lead vulnerability scanning, patch strategy and config hardening for production and non-production.
• Maintain observability and dashboards; ensure ownership and maintenance load visibility.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks with AI assistance.
• Develop processes to convert manual work into automation; support customer rapport.
• Mentor junior IT staff; promote safe, validated use of AI in operations.
