Job summary

Moog Inc. is seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join the Space & Defense Group in Blacksburg, VA onsite.

You will design hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs while guiding hardware integration, verification, and testing against customer requirements and project plans. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field with at least 5 years of hands-on hardware development experience, including circuit/PCB design, embedded hardware, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience developing electronic hardware products and systems.
• Experience bringing designs from concept through testing and implementation.
• Familiarity with circuit design, PCB development, embedded hardware, system integration, or hardware verification.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Conduct hardware integration, verification, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Support technical project planning, including proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and design reviews.
• Ensure traceability between customer requirements and system requirements.
• Develop engineering test requirements and unit-, subsystem-, and system-level test plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
