Job summary

Iris Technology Corporation seeks a Principal Systems Engineer IV in Irvine, CA, to provide senior technical leadership across aerospace and defense programs. You will own system requirements, architecture, integration, testing, and program execution while mentoring teams and guiding cross-functional engineering and proposal efforts.

You will collaborate with customers and Program Management, ensuring adherence to technical objectives, quality standards, and risks are managed effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related technical field; EE/CE preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience; 20+ preferred in R&D, engineering, aerospace, or related environments.
• Experience leading technical projects with schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers, developers, and program managers to establish requirements and system architecture.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor technical performance of programs.
• Lead system architecture and develop system specifications and test plans.
• Mentor engineers and support proposal efforts and process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with requirements and quality standards; manage risks and issues.
