Job summary

Iris Technology Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer II to support the development, integration, testing, and delivery of complex aerospace and defense systems in Irvine, CA. You will derive system-level requirements, guide multiple engineering disciplines, and create essential system documentation.

Responsibilities include executing system integration and ATP testing, coordinating with customers and multidisciplinary teams, and providing technical leadership to meet program objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 5–15 years of technical, R&D, aerospace, defense, or related experience.
• U.S. Person under ITAR requirements.
• Experience deriving and managing system-level requirements.
• Hands-on laboratory testing with electrical test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Derive system-level requirements from customer and IRAD needs.
• Generate and maintain flow-down requirements for subassemblies and other disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance to electrical, software, firmware, and mechanical teams.
• Develop system-level documentation including ATPs, interface documents, and analysis reports.
• Execute system integration and ATP testing in lab and at external facilities.
• Coordinate technical activities across multiple engineering disciplines to support program execution.
• Communicate risks and technical solutions to stakeholders.
