Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Systems Development Engineering Manager to guide the design, development, and operation of critical IT systems. You will lead engineering teams, drive architectural decisions, and ensure reliable software delivery for web-centric applications.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership (30–40%), collaboration with business and IT partners, and a focus on production support, performance tuning, and modernization initiatives across platforms and integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT; in lieu of a degree, 10+ years IT experience.
• 7+ years of IT experience.
• 3+ years of direct reports management.
• Experience leading hybrid onshore/offshore teams and workload balancing.
• Experience with Supply Chain Planning/Purchasing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems and software components.
• Drive strategy and oversee large projects contributing to the organization's goals.
• Coach teams on architecture reviews, coding standards, and best practices.
• Ensure production stability with incident triage, escalation, and resolution.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to align solutions with objectives.
