You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, shape security policies, and influence the delivery of critical platform services, with a focus on scalable, resilient systems.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in country of employment without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 9 years of relevant experience in Platform Engineering.
• 6+ years in platform engineering with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher).
• Automated interaction with physical infrastructure.
• Experience managing cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Monitoring and log management with Nagios, Splunk, ELK.
• Backup and disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Scripting: Python, PowerShell, Bash.
• IaC/configuration management with Terraform, Ansible, Chef

Responsibilities

• Set strategic priorities for platform hardware, software, and network requirements in alignment with organizational goals.
• Share best practices for monitoring system performance and lead teams responsible for performance and troubleshooting.
• Optimize DevOps tools (e.g., API Gateway, Terraform) to support processes as needed.
• Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to bring new features into production.
• Oversee automation and orchestration for fulfillment mechanisms to optimize platform services delivery.
• Lead cross-team collaboration and workstreams for smooth operations.
• Identify security threats, mitigate proactively, and set standards for security compliance.
• Develop and implement security and resiliency policies aligned with priorities and regulations.
• Evaluate high-level design documentation, provide feedback and recommendations.
• Present findings from technical research on user requests or problem resolution.
• Foster relationships with vendors for mutual opportunities.
