Job summary

Nammo Defense Systems Inc. seeks a Senior Systems Administrator / Microsoft Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across hybrid cloud and on‑prem environments. Expertise in GCC High, Azure, virtualization, IAM, automation, and data center tech is required.

The role involves securing, optimizing, and modernizing enterprise systems, supporting migrations, and driving automation and resilience within a multi-location setup. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience administering Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 GCC High environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure administration and hybrid cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, PowerShell, and Microsoft 365 security capabilities.
• Experience supporting VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
• Experience administering enterprise backup solutions, preferably Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and switching.
• Experience with on-premises to cloud migrations and hybrid infrastructure deployments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
• Ability to travel up to 15% to support enterprise operations across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Microsoft 365 GCC High environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, and Windows Autopilot.
• Design, implement, and support hybrid infrastructure solutions leveraging on-premises and cloud technologies.
• Architect, deploy, and administer identity and access management solutions using Entra ID, Active Directory, Group Policy, Conditional Access, and Intune.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure infrastructure services including VMs, VNets, Storage, App Services, and related services.
• Implement and support Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities (Defender, DLP, Information Protection, Purview).
• Design, deploy, and manage virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
• Administer enterprise infrastructure technologies (Cisco UCS, HPE Nimble, SimpliVity).
• Manage enterprise backup and disaster recovery (Veeam).
• Maintain and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
• Support SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.
• Administer and support SQL Server environments (maintenance, performance, backups).
• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity; implement DR and BC plans.
• Perform root cause analysis for major incidents and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Compliance teams on security best practices.
• Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, remediation activities.
• Support endpoint security with Defender and Intune; MFA solutions incl. Duo and Microsoft auth.
• Ensure compliance with CMMC Level 2, NIST 800-171, and DoD requirements.
• Assist with modernization, cloud adoption, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Monitor utilization and optimize performance and cost.
• Stay current on Microsoft technologies and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support planned maintenance and incidents.
• Support enterprise infrastructure across multiple locations.
