Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the AV Fleet Data Engineering team. You will lead the definition and delivery of Retail AV Data Collection solutions supporting ADAS, automated driving, fleet monitoring, and regulatory compliance.

You will translate use cases into system-level strategies, requirements, and verification plans, coordinating across vehicle, bench, cloud, and playback environments to deliver scalable data-recording solutions.

Qualifications

Translate stakeholder needs into system requirements, functional specs, interfaces, and verification criteria.
Lead cross-functional technical activities across engineering disciplines.
Experience with requirements management and traceability tools (DNG preferred).

Responsibilities

Gather and analyze stakeholder, customer, ADAS, AV, regulatory, privacy, and ML use cases.
Decompose product requirements into use cases, system requirements, interfaces, and verification criteria.
Define system strategies for recording triggers, signals, data quality, and geofencing.
Develop system-level test strategies, use cases, and validation plans.
Coordinate with software/platform teams to communicate requirements, defects, and risks.
Ensure designs consider privacy, consent, and regional regulatory needs.
Support data-collection intake by clarifying use cases and required changes.
Identify opportunities to improve requirements quality and engineering processes.
Mentor engineers and contribute to reusable systems-engineering standard work.
