Job summary

T-Mobile seeks a seasoned Network Architect to evolve our technical architectures, guiding design decisions with simulations, tests, and business goals. You will influence carrier-grade platform deployments and AI-enabled workflows, collaborating across teams in a hybrid work model.

Ideal candidates bring 7–10 years in technical engineering, cloud and telecom experience, and hands-on knowledge of IMS Core, SBC, SIP, VoIP, and cloud-native architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of related work experience
• Advanced degree plus 5+ years of related experience is acceptable
• Experience across UCaaS, telecom, or cloud communications platforms is required
• Strong hands-on experience with IMS Core, SBC, SIP, VoIP, SMSC/MMSC
• Experience designing, deploying and operating large-scale carrier-grade platforms
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures (Kubernetes, containers, microservices)
• Experience with AI-powered workflow automation and AI agents

Responsibilities

• Lead development and evolution of network and service architectures
• Create architecture designs to support technology portfolio enhancements
• Interpret network simulations and test results to inform decisions
• Create and maintain technical documentation and presentations
• Drive engineering projects by supervising engineers and optimizing processes
• Monitor industry technologies to influence architecture decisions
• Coach engineers on technology decisions and participate in cross-functional investigations
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
