Job summary

Globus Medical in Methuen, MA is seeking a Principal Engineer, Systems, to lead the technical direction of core product lines from concept to commercialization. You will guide architecture, risk, and verification activities while ensuring alignment with regulatory and business objectives.

You will collaborate with quality, regulatory, clinical, and manufacturing teams to deliver innovative, safe, and scalable medical devices that improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering experience with significant systems engineering, product development, and technical leadership responsibility.
• Demonstrated success leading complex product development programs from concept through commercialization in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive systems engineering strategy, architecture, technical standards, and roadmaps across assigned product lines.
• Lead system architecture development and integration activities across product platforms and interfaces.
• Guide technical decision-making through analyses, trade studies, and risk assessments balancing performance, cost, and schedule.
• Establish and maintain system requirements, interfaces, and technical specifications in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead Safety Risk Management and ensure risks are identified, mitigated, and documented throughout development.
• Ensure design controls, verification/validation, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are met.
• Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams for FDA, CE, and global submissions and compliance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across engineering teams.
