Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated Principal Systems Engineer - P5 to provide technical leadership for complex medical device systems in the Interventional Cardiology division. You will drive system architecture, requirements, verification, and risk management across the product lifecycle.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you translate customer needs into compliant, innovative solutions from concept to commercialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS or related technical field.
• 10+ years with a bachelor's or 8+ years with a master's in systems engineering.
• Experience defining architectures for multidisciplinary systems (hardware, software, electrical, mechanical).
• Strong requirements development, decomposition, allocation, and traceability skills.
• Ability to communicate complex tech concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for design, development, integration and commercialization of complex medical device systems.
• Lead cross-functional decision-making and align technical strategies with management and business leaders.
• Define and evolve system architectures and performance requirements.
• Lead end-to-end system integration across hardware, software, electrical and mechanical subsystems.
• Drive lifecycle traceability, risk management and verification/validation activities.
• Translate customer needs into clear system requirements and manage interfaces.
• Mentor engineers and advance Systems Engineering practices across the organization.
