Job summary

Globus Medical is seeking a Principal Engineer, Systems to lead the architecture and technology direction for assigned product lines, guiding development from concept through commercialization in a regulated medical-device environment.

The role partners with cross-functional teams—engineering, quality, regulatory, clinical, and manufacturing—to deliver innovative, scalable solutions that meet customer needs and drive platform strategy while upholding design controls and risk management.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive engineering experience with systems leadership.
• Proven success leading complex product development programs in regulated environments.
• Deep knowledge of system architecture, requirements management, integration, verification and validation.
• Strong ability to influence technical direction without direct authority.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive systems engineering strategy, architecture, standards, and roadmaps.
• Lead system architecture development and integration activities across product platforms.
• Guide decision-making with system-level analyses, trade studies, and risk assessments.
• Establish and maintain system requirements, interfaces, and technical specs.
• Lead Safety Risk Management and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams for FDA, CE submissions.
• Provide technical mentorship across engineering teams.
