IRIS TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION in Irvine, CA is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer IV to provide senior technical leadership for aerospace and defense programs. You will own system requirements, architecture, integration, testing, and performance, while guiding cross-functional teams and influencing proposals.

The role requires mentoring engineers, driving innovative solutions, and serving as a key liaison for quality and process execution. Full-time on-site in Irvine, CA.

• Interface with customers, Development Teams, and Program Managers to establish program requirements, system specifications, and objectives.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the technical performance of programs.
• Lead system architecture and develop system specifications based on customer requirements.
• Develop system-level test plans and test procedures based on program requirements.
• Analyze requirements for compliance when direct testing is not practical.
• Maintain a high-level view of system objectives and ensure integration of subsystems.
• Orchestrate system designs, prototype builds, integration and testing, and documentation.
• Lead hands-on integration and troubleshooting, interpret measurements, and evaluate verification results.
• Ensure adherence to program requirements, specifications, and quality standards.
• Identify technical program problems and guide teams to effective solutions.
• Work with leadership to ensure designs meet requirements and budgets.
• Support programs to remain on schedule and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship and expertise to systems engineers and team members.
• Lead development of innovative solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Support proposal development with technical details, execution approaches, schedules, and cost estimates.
