Job summary

Teradyne’s IST Hardware Engineering team seeks a System Engineer to deliver world-class System Level Test solutions. You will develop system requirements and architectures for IST product lines, align with business goals, and interact with customers to translate challenges into solutions.

You will collaborate with marketing and engineering to turn concepts into deployable systems, lead cross‑functional test integration, and help shape multi‑generation roadmaps while staying current with industry

Qualifications

• 10+ years of systems engineering and design.
• Experience in requirements, architecture and system performance.
• Broad expertise across system design, networks, embedded systems, or software usability.
• Ability to define system-level software requirements and interface with software engineers.
• Track record of commercially successful product development.
• Experience in instrumentation design with firmware, FPGA, data buses, power management, and control software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design system requirements and architectures.
• Interface with senior staff to interpret customer requirements.
• Engage with customers during preliminary engagements to define competitive solutions.
• Provide systems engineering oversight to ensure design and verification align.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate the full system and resolve roadblocks.
• Stay current with industry trends impacting scope.
