Job summary

Tarrant Regional Water District in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Systems Architect Supervisor to lead enterprise IT architecture, design, and deployment across TRWD systems and infrastructure.

You will supervise Cloud and Systems Engineers, guide migrations, ensure security, scalability, and cost efficiency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes disaster recovery, IAM, Azure cloud services, and documentation of complex IT environments.

Qualifications

• Ten years of progressive IT systems administration and engineering experience in virtualized Windows Server and Azure Cloud environments.
• Prior supervisory experience with diverse, technical teams.
• Automation and infrastructure as code experience (PowerShell, Ansible, ARM templates, Bicep, Azure CLI).
• Experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter and VDI deployments (Hyper-V acceptable).
• Experience with cloud and hybrid Azure solutions incl. Azure Arc and IAM in hybrid AD/Entra environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise architecture design and development across TRWD IT systems and infrastructure.
• Evaluate and select technologies; perform testing for performance, reliability, and security.
• Supervise Cloud and Systems Engineers; mentor and guide team to achieve milestones.
• Provide technical guidance across Information Services and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee website hosting and management, IAM implementation, disaster recovery, and telemetry/monitoring initiatives.
• Develop and maintain documentation of architecture designs and integration plans.
