Job summary

StrongMind is seeking a senior Systems Administrator 2 to own critical platforms, design standards, and end-to-end ownership of key systems. You will secure identity, endpoints, networks, telephony, and security while driving automation and documentation.

You’ll mentor peers, lead complex projects, and support annual student assessments across Arizona, balancing hands-on work with leadership responsibilities in a hybrid Chandler environment.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure engineering, with senior/lead experience.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of major technology platforms (design, administer, document).
• Deep knowledge of cloud identity and productivity administration (Entra ID, M365).
• Strong endpoint management at scale (Intune, Jamf).
• Strong networking skills (firewalls, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, certificates, remote access).
• Experience administering Windows, macOS, ChromeOS in enterprise environments; some Linux.
• Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Experience with endpoint protection and email security, including tuning and remediation.
• Good change-management practices with documented runbooks and communication plans.
• Ability to produce architecture docs, runbooks, procedures for operators.

Responsibilities

• Own corporate identity administration, groups, roles, licensing, and MFA.
• Manage endpoints across Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS; deploy, patch, and configure.
• Administer network infrastructure including firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Oversee cloud telephony, contact center config, and security systems with Facilities.
• Operate endpoint protection and email security; triage alerts and remediation.
• Automate recurring tasks; maintain runbooks and technical docs.
• Use AI tools to improve documentation, scripting, and analysis with verification.
• Mentor Systems Administrator 1 and HelpDesk staff, provide cross-training.
• Lead or support projects: migrations, device refreshes, infra changes, office builds.
• Support annual statewide student assessments with staging, network readiness, on-site help.
