Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission in Austin, TX seeks a Systems Analyst V to support enterprise-level Medicaid/CHIP applications and Java/J2EE development teams. The role involves design, maintenance, and cross-functional coordination with business and technical stakeholders. Strong technical skills and the ability to work independently are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field.
• Five (5) or more years of experience supporting Java/J2EE application developers.

Responsibilities

• Supports application developers and assists with application deliverables, systems maintenance, batch processing, security and risk assessments, testing, and program troubleshooting.
• Provides technical support and analysis for programming and project activities; plans and tracks project deliverables and participates in Agile sprint activities.
• Participates in system design, planning, implementation, production support, and customer service activities for custom and commercial software systems; coordinates with business analysts and development teams.
• Coordinates and prepares plans, schedules, assignments, and analysis and programming activities; ensures alignment with agency requirements and Medicaid/CHIP standards.
• Maintains technical policies and standards; communicates with project managers and stakeholders to resolve issues and promote best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
