Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field.
• Five (5) or more years’ experience in programming with Java/J2EE and Web Services.
• Experience in planning, design, development and testing of software applications.
• Strong problem solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the implementation for system design, planning, production support, and customer services for software systems.
• Develops deliverables through coding, build/release management, testing, and debugging while coordinating end-user instructions.
• Provides technical support and analysis related to programming activities and business process design.
• Coordinates project plans and schedules within the application development team to align with agency standards.
• Mentors and guides junior developers and ensures adherence to HHSC IT SDLC and accessibility standards.
