Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services is seeking a Systems Analyst III in Austin to conduct complex, journey-level computer systems analyses and develop implementable solutions. The role requires defining problems, reviewing performance indicators, and guiding improvements with clear, logical recommendations.

The position emphasizes SDLC knowledge, project management, and effective communication, with responsibilities across documentation, standards, and cross‑functional collaboration to support IT

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• Five years or more experience developing reports for IT projects and systems.
• Five years or more experience developing standards and procedures for an IT team.

Responsibilities

• Support projects by gathering materials, coordinating status reports, and preparing documentation with due dates.
• Develop or modify SOPs to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality of IT work.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency IT policies and procedures.
• Foster teamwork and provide support to resolve issues at the lowest level.
• Promote IT excellence through tours, meetings, and cross‑program communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including disaster response or COOP activation.
