Job summary
Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to analyze complex technical issues, translate business needs into technical requirements, and lead critical system modifications in a remote-friendly environment.
You will collaborate with business process experts, document specifications, mentor junior analysts, and review vendor designs while supporting enterprise-scale initiatives in healthcare payor systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of systems analysis experience focusing on defining technical requirements.
- Experience with healthcare payor adjudication systems is a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based platform integrations (Azure, Google, Salesforce).
- Experience with waterfall and agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Analyze complex technical issues and identify projects and technologies yielding significant operational value.
- Gather technical requirements from stakeholders and translate into detailed technical specs.
- Define technical scope aligned with business objectives and technology strategy.
- Develop documentation describing system modifications and vendor designs for review.
- Mentor analysts and participate in design reviews to ensure quality outputs.
- Lead department projects and initiatives and review vendor technical specifications.
