Job summary

Conservice is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to own day-to-day health and long-term direction of virtualization, compute, and storage platforms. You will work hands-on across Windows, Linux, and vCenter, building monitoring to catch issues before tickets arrive.

The role offers autonomy, mentorship, and opportunities to expand automation, disaster recovery, and container workloads as the environment evolves. Hybrid on-site with occasional after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Systems or Infrastructure Administrator in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on VMware vSphere administration at scale.
• Solid Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu).
• Experience with enterprise SAN/NAS storage and performance troubleshooting.
• Proficient in PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent scripting.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, Zabbix, PRTG, Grafana/Prometheus).
• Active Directory, Kerberos authentication and GPO management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter, HA/DRS) for 500+ VMs.
• Administer Windows and Linux in production; patching, hardening, performance tuning.
• Manage AD, GPOs, Kerberos service accounts; ensure security posture.
• Oversee SAN/NAS storage; capacity planning, performance checks, migrations.
• Develop and maintain monitoring/alerting across compute and storage layers.
• Lead backup/DR planning with Veeam or equivalent; regular recovery testing.
• Document runbooks, drive automation via PowerShell/PowerCLI and Bash.
• Collaborate with network and security teams; mentor junior staff.
