Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a Systems Administrator Senior to support INSCOM missions in Anchorage, Alaska. The role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility and 10+ years of related IT experience, including UNIX/Windows server administration and strong security discipline.

You will install and maintain OS/software, manage IT infrastructure, and provide Tier 1/2 support, with on-site daily customer contact and potential travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related specialized experience in lieu of degree.
• 8+ years of related experience; at least 4 years of specialized experience.
• Must provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management on escalated tickets.
• Security clearance TS/SCI is required.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT II/8140 CE Certification required prior to support.
• IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Security+ or equivalent.
• Azure Administrator or equivalent certifications with full AZ104 goal within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for activities related to system administration.
• Assigns personnel to projects, directs activities, and evaluates work.
• Ensure long-term system operations and administration requirements are planned.
• Install, maintain, configure, and ensure integrity of computer software.
• Implement OS enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide Tier 1/2 support and issue resolution for client/server devices.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems on site.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems across IT infra.
