Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior System Administrator to deliver enterprise-focused engineering support to a Government Customer at Fort Meade, MD. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining IT systems, providing Tier 1 help desk support, and guiding operations across servers, storage, and networks.

The candidate will configure UNIX/Windows OS, assist with escalations, and perform capacity planning. The role requires a DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification or higher and an active TS/SCI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 10 years SA experience or 5 years with degree.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I certification or higher.
• At least 3 years in Computer Network Operations and IA domains.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-focused engineering support for IT systems.
• Handle Tier 1 help desk and escalation for IT issues.
• Manage day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution of client/server/storage/network devices.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems; implement OS improvements.
• Assist agency management and internal customers with status updates and capacity planning.
