Job summary

Peraton is hiring a Specialized Infrastructure Services Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Jessup, MD. This full-time role requires 1880 hours per year, on-site at a customer location, and involves Linux/VMware administration and cross-domain collaboration to meet mission requirements.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s in a related field with 15 years of systems engineering experience, DoD 8570 IAM Level I+, and an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related discipline plus at least 15 years of systems engineering experience.
• DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher is required.
• Ability to break down complex problem space, formulate technical strategies, build action plans, and track progress against baselines.
• Architectural recommendations for, configure, and manage Linux systems and VMWare; install OS software and troubleshoot.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering assessments of end user architectures and system administration solutions.
• Help administer Linux and VMWare; work with network, storage, and server personnel to define solutions.
• Install and administer desktops for critical user-access systems; respond to requests for new systems to meet capacity and user requirements.
