Job summary

ORBIS Inc. is seeking a senior IT systems administrator to support NAVSEA Team Submarine and related program offices in Washington, DC. The role focuses on operating and securing complex network systems, with emphasis on submarine program knowledge and DoD acquisition experience.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in systems administration, Navy program experience, and a current secret clearance. BS/BA in engineering or computer science is preferred, and U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 10 years of professional experience in systems administration.
• Cyber WorkForce (CWF) certifications.
• 10+ years of experience with Navy programs or DOD acquisition/in-service programs.
• Relatable database work experience.
• 5+ years of experience with submarine/combat systems.
• U.S. citizen and eligibility for a secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstations, file servers, and web servers.
• Install hardware, software, system upgrades, and manage network accounts and security.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and IDS.
• Train staff on software and IT processes.
• Assist customers with information technology.
• Monitor system configuration (hardware and software).
• Provide instruction on computers and applications.
