Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Senior Systems Administrator to support technology operations across our New England branch, serving nearly 200 employees across multiple office locations.

The role combines day-to-day technical support with leadership and coordination for local IT staff, requiring travel to Wilmington, MA and other regional offices. Ideal candidates will possess strong expertise in server infrastructure, security, and Microsoft-based environments, and will partner

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on IT experience.
• Experience supporting server infrastructure, networking, storage, security, backup systems, and end-user technology.
• Experience with Microsoft-based environments, including AD, M365, cloud services, endpoint management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day IT operations across GPI's New England branch, helping ensure reliable systems and consistent support.
• Provide technical guidance to local IT staff, assist with work prioritization, and serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support infrastructure, security systems, and end-user technology.
• Support system availability, backups, disaster recovery, security, and lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and support procedures.
• Plan and implement technology upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and other business initiatives.
• Evaluate new technologies, automation opportunities, and process improvements that enhance reliability, security, and user experience.
