Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks a hands-on Senior Systems Administrator to support technology operations across our New England branch, serving about 200 employees across multiple offices. The role requires travel to Wilmington, MA; Salem, NH; Bedford, NH; Boston, MA; and Portsmouth, NH.

This senior IT position combines technical leadership with hands-on day-to-day support, coordinating with corporate IT resources to ensure secure, reliable technology solutions for users across branches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on IT experience.
• Experience with server infrastructure, networking, storage, security, and backups.
• Experience with Microsoft-based environments (AD, M365, cloud).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day IT operations for the New England branch.
• Provide technical guidance to local IT staff and escalate complex issues.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support infrastructure, security, and end-user technology.
• Support system availability, backups, disaster recovery, security, lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Plan and implement technology upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
• Evaluate new technologies and automation opportunities to improve reliability and security.
