Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator II – Desktop Support to join the MAJESTIC JPO team in Springfield, VA. On-site role supporting Windows Server, RHEL, and Nutanix in a large enterprise environment.

Responsibilities include patching, scripting, AD management, and ensuring security/compliance with RMF, NIST, and DoD 8510.01. On-site work with opportunities for remote work as dictated by program needs.

Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise IT environments (3–6 years).
• Certifications or degree aligning with DoD cyber workforce requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server and RHEL, ensure security and performance.
• Manage patching using WSUS, SCCM, Ansible.
• Develop scripts to automate routine tasks.
• Configure AD, GPOs, and cross‑platform integration with RHEL.
• Monitor with Nagios/Splunk/SolarWinds/Grafana for health and issues.
• Collaborate on integrating Windows, Linux, Nutanix into infra.
• Document systems with diagrams, SOPs, recovery plans.
• Support apps using Windows/RHEL/Nutanix and evaluate new tech.
