Job summary

Planet Pharma is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to manage and strengthen our hybrid infrastructure across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will own day-to-day administration, serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for 24×7 support, and coordinate with MSPs and vendors to ensure high availability and rapid incident resolution.

You will lead incident investigations, implement runbooks, and drive continuous improvements in monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure operations, or a comparable senior technical role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Okta, endpoint management (JAMF & Intune), SaaS administration, Windows, macOS, and cloud or hybrid infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of enterprise networking, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, Wi‑Fi, routing concepts, and network troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience handling Tier 3 escalations, major incidents, root-cause analysis, problem management, and service-provider coordination.
• Experience with backup, restore, disaster recovery, patching, change control, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience maintaining runbooks, system documentation, and operational records, and improving support and systems-administration processes and tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and the ability to explain technical issues to support teams, business partners, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain infrastructure services across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Monitor system health, performance, capacity, availability, and alerts, resolving issues before they impact operations.
• Lead patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and lifecycle maintenance through change-management processes.
• Own backup and recovery service and disaster recovery documentation; regularly test recovery capabilities.
• Maintain core network and infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi‑Fi, and identity integrations.
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for 24×7 helpdesk and onsite teams through final resolution of incidents.
• Diagnose issues across identity, endpoints, applications, networks, and cloud services; analyze logs and configurations.
• Prioritize escalations, meet SLAs, and coordinate recovery activities during major incidents.
• Lead root-cause analysis, maintain problem records, and implement corrective actions to reduce repeat incidents.
• Author runbooks and knowledge articles; coach staff to resolve issues at appropriate tier.
• Coordinate with MSPs, vendors, and other partners; ensure progress and closure.
